Issue with SCCM SSRS report
We are utilizing Unknown computer support in SCCM 2012. Recently I have discovered that one of the report in SCCM 2012 RTM has a bug in linked report.
Usually I use 'All task sequence deployments available to unknown computers' report to list all TS available and drill-down to details.
Report 'All system resources for a task sequence deployment that is in a specific state and that is available to unknown computers' links to 'All task sequence deployments available to unknown computers'. If you try to run it it will show you this error.
Expanded error show that linked report can not be found.
Error "/ConfigMgr_Reports/Task Sequence - Deployment Status/Status of a task sequence deployment on an unknown destination computer' cannot be found. (rsItemNotFound)"
Immediately I have tried following:
- checked in SSRS if the linked report exist. I tried to run it manually and it worked.
- checked permissions also.
- open report in Report builder and check link
None of it show me the reason.
After bit of scratching of my head I noticed that the report in SSRS shows "." at the end of the name.
I have downloaded the report and the name show following.
Report name has two dots. So I simply removed one dot and re-uploaded report and that fixed the issue.
Note: When re-uploading report you need to modify shared data source to use one which SCCM reports are using. When MS release update to reports it might get overwritten, but at least it works now. Issue also appeared on other ConfigMgr2012 site server, so it was not only my pilot deployment site.
